TOKYO, Japan: The company today announced the first phase of its plans to invest as much as 5.8 billion yen in Japan over the next two years along the entire production value chain—from research and development (R&D) to manufacturing to state-of-the-art products and technologies. Today’s announcement includes plans to invest an initial 1.6 billion yen into a leading-edge coffee bean roasting plant in Japan and to invest in R&D, manufacturing, and foundry services in China, Australia, and the US. With this landmark investment, Aliatta Group plans to bring its most advanced food and beverage-oriented technology to Asia, creating a next-generation multinational coffee ecosystem and addressing the need for a more balanced and resilient supply chain.

"Our planned investments are a major step both for Aliatta Group and for Japan. This broad initiative will boost Japanese innovation and bring leading-edge manufacturing to the region for the benefit of our customers and partners around the world. We are committed to playing an essential role in shaping the future of the Asian coffee industry for decades to come." said Mr. Cerny, the groups' CEO

The investment program is centered around balancing the global coffee product supply chain with a major expansion of current production capacities in Europe. In the initial phase, Aliatta Group plans to develop its first facilities in Yamanashi-ken, Japan. Planning will start immediately, with construction expected to begin in the first half of 2023 and production planned to come online in 2024, pending necessary approvals. The new roasting plant is expected to deliver coffee products, serving the needs of both B2B and B2C sectors.

At the center of Shizuoka Prefecture, with Yokohama Port at its doorstep, top talent, superb infrastructure, and an existing ecosystem of suppliers and customers, Japan is an ideal place to establish a new hub for advanced coffee products.

The new plant will be divided into three areas, including a green coffee storage and handling area, a roasting area, and a packing and dispatch area. It is equipped with a fully automated industrial roaster and a coffee handling system operated by a programmable logic controller to ensure effective control of the recipe. An automatic filling and sealing line is also part of the plant.

The plant is equipped with high-precision testing equipment, which helps maintain the quality standards established by the companies. It also includes efficient utilities and other state-of-the-art equipment. Advanced safety systems have also been installed at the plant.
